1900

The Pesto family’s deep connection with the sea begins long before the founding of the yachting agency. Oscar Pesto dedicates his life to navigation, becoming a ship captain and passing this passion to his son, Giuliano Pesto.

1966

After years at sea as a merchant ship captain, Giuliano Pesto comes ashore and qualifies as a maritime agent. That same year, he founded Genoa’s first yacht agency — a pioneering move that even laid the foundation for a new era.

1970

The first official office opens in Via San Lorenzo, in the heart of Genoa. Shortly after, a second office followed in Santa Margherita Ligure, initially serving mostly large sailing yachts, and soon after, motor yachts as well.

1972

Pesto began participating in the Salone Nautico (Genoa International Boat Show) and started collaborating with UCINA (now Confindustria Nautica).

1990

Fabio Pesto joins the company, followed by his brother Massimiliano. Under their leadership, the family business takes a significant step forward. Operations expand, and negotiations begin to establish Genoa’s first marina dedicated to yachting.

1997

Until then known primarily as a commercial port, Genoa welcomed its first yachts thanks to the Pesto family, who founded Marina Molo Vecchio. This initiative helped transform the area into a vibrant yachting hub.

2000

With the goal of offering a full-service experience, the company diversifies its business. FemoBunker was established to operate in worldwide fuel trading; Molo Vecchio Marine Supply was launched to deliver specialized yacht provisioning services, and Pesto’s Place opened in central Genoa, offering accommodation dedicated to yacht crews.

2010

A strategic partnership is established with Fratelli Cosulich Group, an international leader in maritime logistics, further expanding and consolidating the network. It is also a milestone year: the company joins an international network, becomes Pesto Sea Group S.r.l., opening new offices in Portofino, Imperia, and briefly in Antigua, marking its first steps beyond Italy.

2015-2021

In the following years, the group experienced significant growth across Italy. Molo Vecchio Marine Supply strengthened its identity as a trusted brand; new offices opened in La Spezia, Venice, Naples and Rome, thanks also to the new partneship with Fratelli Cosulich, ensuring nationwide coverage from north to south. A period that marked a phase of solid expansion.

2023

A decisive leap forward. The launch of Genoa Superyacht Hub marked a new chapter in the Group’s development, alongside the opening of Pesto Sea Group South Africa, the first directly managed international office.
